Top to bottom, this pelican is drying his wings to stay free of parasites. These two bald eagles were looking for fish on the same flat as we were. Below, another drying pelican, posting his territory.

Watching dolphin play, viewing the magnificent wildlife or seeing the beautiful scenery of Lemon Bay, Stump Pass, Charlotte Harbor and the Boca Grande Pass area, you'll be truly amazed at what nature has to offer. At different times of the year there are manatee with their young grazing in the bay and sea turtle nests everywhere on the beaches.     

From time to time we need to slow down and see the wonderful sights in our backyard. This osprey below is reminding us to slow life down a bit. Above the mangrove trees on this oyster bed are filled with nesting Blue Herons. If you look close you might see the Heron front and center has a chick in the nest with her.
